Facade technology in the change of time - VFT Seminar

Elsenfeld, November 2023 – On 23/24.11.2023, the VFT - Verband für Fassadentechnik e.V. is organizing a seminar in Wiesbaden on the topic "Facade technology in the change of time". The audience will be offered a broad spectrum of specialist presentations on all aspects of facades. Topics will include refurbishment of facades, facade systems, 3D BIM and photovoltaic facades. SUNOVATION is contributing a presentation entitled "Photovoltaics in facades - when disciplines overlap". Participants of the event can visit the accompanying exhibition with BIPV modules and examples of photovoltaic facades and exchange ideas directly with the BIPV experts from SUNOVATION.

Symposium @BUGA23 - ReGrow Symposium

Elsenfeld, September 2023 – On 29.09.2023, the symposium "ReGrow - Natural Resources in Digital Circular Construction" will take place as part of the Federal Garden Show (BUGA23) in Mannheim. International experts from science and industry will discuss current challenges and opportunities associated with the use of natural resources in architecture. SUNOVATION is among the speakers and will present a review on "BIPV in the change of time".

Questioning current production methods and providing an outlook towards Digital Circular Construction, the event marks the culmination of the two-year research project ReGrow, funded by the State government and launched by five professorships of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) – Digital Design & Fabrication (DDF), design of structures (dos), Bauphysik & Technischer Ausbau (fbta), Lichttechnischen Institut (LTI) and Institut für Industriebetriebslehre und Industrielle Produktion (IIP).

Colored BIPV-Facade in Regensburg

#Construction Update

Elsenfeld, September 2023 – A building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) facade in the color "champagne" is currently under construction in Regensburg. The color of the eFORM unichrome glass-glass modules (ColorQuant collection) harmonizes wonderfully with the metal facade elements, which are installed in the facade in a material mix with the BIPV modules. SUNOVATION manufactures all glass-glass modules in Germany.

 

Dreßler Bau Gmbh becomes a shareholder of SUNOVATION GmbH

New co-shareholder

Elsenfeld, August 2023 - The Aschaffenburg-based company Dreßler Bau GmbH joins SUNOVATION as a co-partner. In response to the increasing demand for building-integrated photovoltaics, further expansion of production capacities and important innovations by SUNOVATION are planned. In the future, Dreßler will therefore accompany SUNOVATION as a strategically important investor.

 

Two strong companies with deep roots in the region

With a company history of 110 years, Dreßler Bau GmbH is an established construction company in turnkey building construction. Headquartered in Aschaffenburg and with six locations in Germany, Dreßler Bau achieved sales of EUR 348 million in 2022. SUNOVATION is one of the leading companies in the field of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Both companies specialize in architecturally appealing building solutions, especially facades, and manufacture their products regionally in Bavaria. The bond also results from shared corporate values and a passion for responsible and sustainable building.

 

Increasing demand for building-integrated photovoltaics

With many years of expertise in the construction industry, Dreßler will expand SUNOVATION's network. With a strong financial position, SUNOVATION can continue its growth course and meet the increasing demand for building-integrated photovoltaics. Heribert Ley, who has been managing the operational business of the company since 2011, will remain in charge of the company's management.
